Purchasing Departmental Hardware

The purchase of departmental computer hardware can be processed using procurement cards and purchase orders. Purchases must meet required Purchasing Guidelines.

Computer Repair

Get your department-owned computer or related equipment repaired by VITEC solutions.  VITEC has a repair service drop-off depot in Lockwood 2nd Floor Cybrary, can accept drop-offs at their Amherst headquarters or can arrange pick-up and drop-offs from your campus office.

If you are unsure of your department’s process for repairs of IT products, please contact your Information Technology Node Director for assistance.

How to Purchase Lenovo Products

The University at Buffalo uses Brite Computers and/or CDWG for procurement of Lenovo Microcomputer systems. Please contact directly for price quote. Custom Built machines are NOT available from resellers for quantity 1. You must buy multiple units in order to use a PO for Custom Built Lenovo machines.


If you are purchasing one custom built unit go to Lenovo.com and use your University procurement card to make the purchase.

Lenovo.com does not accept PO’s from UB. You must use your Procurement Card for all direct purchases.
